We stayed at La Placita Inn for 4 nights. We got the Placita View suite and had a great view of the shops downstairs and a balcony to relax in the evenings. The room was very spacious, clean, and elegant. Super comfy bed. Because our room faced the shops, you can hear muffled music up to 10 pm (on the weekdays, at least). Good a/c and there is hot water.
A drawback to our room was that when people (usually kids) would twirl themselves on suspended chair swings downstairs in the lobby, we could hear loud noises all over the room. Unfortunately, this happened off and on and made it difficult to fall asleep. After 10 pm, nobody used the swings.
Other than that drawback, we truly enjoyed our stay. The free breakfast included was superb and had a variety of choices. Their lunch and dinner menu also have a good variety and are yummy.
Although the hotel doesn’t have a pool itself nor direct access to the beach, the hotel next to it does, and we were allow access to both pool and beach chairs. The beach it’s only a few minutes walk away.
Although we didn’t use it, you can book activities at the front desk. You also get beach towels. We did use the hotel for transportation to and from the ferry and airport (at an extra fee).
Finally, the staff is excellent. They go beyond their way to make one feel comfortable and welcome. From the driver, to the waitress, to the people in the lobby—lovely people that offer superb service.
Would definitely return and highly recommend.
