Penthouse suite
We booked the penthouse suite. It was not ready at 4pm, we had to wait another 40 minutes. In addition, I requested champagne and rose petals before the trip and did not receive those in my room but then they remembered to charge me for it. That was disappointing because it was our anniversary. However, the front desk associates were super nice. We ate at the Chocobar in the meantime and it was really nice. I would recommend the Puerto Rican bowl and chocolate coffee. When we got to our room it was amazing. The penthouse suite was everything. The view was worth the wait.

Street Noise
We spent one night at this location prior to a cruise. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the beach. We arrived just after 3 PM and were told the room was not ready, which is my first complaint. Once we were allowed to check in we were charged a resort fee of $50 which was suppose to cover 2 bottles of water in room, beach towels, chairs, bicycles, etc. but by the time we could check in the sun was already starting to set, there really was no time for the beach, so in essence we paid a resort fee for 2 bottles of water. My biggest complaint however was the street noise which continued past 2 AM, car horns, radios, and loud mororcycles, made it impossible to sleep. The windows might as well have been wide open because they did nothing to block the noise. The hotel was close to 2 pharmacies, restaurants, and souvenir shops but the street noise was just too much. I would not stay here again.

Terrible customer service and False Advertising
I booked two rooms and pay through Hotels.com when I checked in the hotel told me that they themselves had canceled one room, but they would rebook it for $700 more. After going back-and-forth with them for almost an hour, they promised me free breakfast and oceanfront view for both rooms. We checked in about 5 PM and we’re told that the rooms would not be ready until about 8 PM but they would hold our luggage. When we finally got to our rooms, one had a partial ocean view, and the other one was staring at Construction when I went down to the front desk again to ask why we did not get the rooms that we were promised after paying $700 more they told me there was nothing they could do about it but I could leave if I wanted. There was also mold and mildew on the ceilings. The sink leaked and we had ice cold showers for three days because they said their water heater wasn’t working. I didn’t take a photo of the construction work out my window but I should have and it was very loud until late at night

We had a nice stay. The hotel was very busy because of the NY holiday. At times the front desk was overwhelmed and the wait times were long. The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was great. My only complaint is the condition of our room. Our balcony door did not close, there were outlets that didn’t work and our phone didn’t work. Maintenance responded quickly but could not fix the issues. Additionally, one night there was such noise in the hall from maintenance having to knock down the door next to us.

This place is super convenient and a block from the beach. It’s across from Walgreens which is a plus. They have food, a bar and lots of space to work from a laptop or have meetings. At the beach, they have staff that will set you up with chairs and umbrellas.
