I do not offer reviews very often, but I have to say something about the Comfort Suites in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. First of all, when entering in the lobby it was refreshing to see how clean it was. Checking in was a breeze. We were offered fresh chocolate cookies and coffee. The facility is fairly new but it was nice to see that it is well kept by an attentive staff. We stayed two nights so we were given fresh towels but abstained from having our room refreshed. The breakfast was the best one we have seen in a hotel in a long time. I want to give a shoutout to the kitchen staff. They (Mary, Dawn, and Beverley S.) were very helpful and were refilling anything with fresh hot food as required. If you need anything, just ask and they will "happily" try to meet your needs. Special note: they rarely have any empty rooms because the word is out about the place. The pool was used each night we were there; the elevators were quiet; the gym was modestly equipped; and there were two areas to eat in. The staff was knowledgeable of not only the hotel chain, but of the local venues that are offered. We visited The Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Kentucky Horse Park. I am writing this glowing review most likely because the rooms were well appointed and clean. Ours had a large sofa, two queen beds, desk, and a large TV. Our daughter wanted to take the pillows home, we said no. If asked, yes, we would definitely recommend this hotel.
