This is why this comment should matter: We have previously stayed at this Holiday Inn for 3 times. Although our first and second stay was quite nice, our third was one that will prompt us to never come back. Our third experience is as followed. We travelled to Phuket with our grandparents, note that they are in their 70's and 80's. One morning they had decided to head towards one of the restaurants for the hotel's morning buffet. When our grandparents arrived at the restaurant, not only were they denied entrance, they were also FORCED TO PAY the restaurant before enjoying their meal. Prior to entering, the hotel staff charged them the hotel guest price. However, while they were eating, a staff came over and told them that they had to pay the full price. As our grandparents are unable to communicate in English, the staff pressured them into paying the full fare. Now this is where it gets even more unacceptable. After realizing what happened, we headed towards the check-in area and asked to talk to some staff to get a better picture of what really happened. And the staff told us that they will get back to us the day after. However, 2 days go by and it seems that they had forgotten what had happened. When we checked out and demanded an explanation, we were told to talk to the restaurant ourselves.
*please note that we are not seeking monetary compensation, but justice and an apology to our grandparents for the extremely poor treatment. It was very upsetting to our family*
