8/10 Very good

The bed was really comfortable and the place was nicely furnished. The bar looked like it was going to be cozy but was still under construction. The carpet and drapes in the room were dated but I assume that will be updated after the renovation is complete.

Super comfy bed.

The rooms were small but the bed was massive and super soft! I slept like a marshmallow each night super comfortable. Great location walking distance to all the great places and public transportation friendly as well.

Close to everything.

Walkable close to shopping, salons, and restaurants. If your stay is short, no need to rent a car.

8/10 Very good

Cute little hotel. Staff was very friendly and hotel was clean. It was pretty dated in the rooms and looked like some old school porn movies were made in there for sure. The carpet throughout the whole 2nd floor hallway was HORRID. Elevator was very tiny and not even sure if it’s even ADA compliant for a wheel chair. However, it was In a great location and did have a little fridge and microwave. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay that’s not a motel 6 then this place will do the trick. Wouldn’t say it’s outstanding but definitely not bad. I’d stay there again.

Great location. Very safe

I wanted to find a decent hotel in Beverly Hills and found this place. Not a lot of amenities but had a bar downstairs. 3 floors of rooms with an elevator. Room was clean. Bathroom very nice. Best was so close to rodeo drive and west hollywood.

Solid Pick

It was perfectly fine and well-located. It’s a bit tired and needs a makeover but that said, I wasn’t there for anything fancy. Just needed the location and a comfortable stay and it was definitely that.

They’re remodeling November 2025 so maybe that’s why the place smelled so bad. They really weren’t in to the present. Like why bother? Maybe that’s why the purchase was non-refundable because we would have immediately turned around and walked out. Loved the staff though. They were excellent

6/10 Good

This hotel needs a serious remodel…it’s pretty rundown. When I first stayed here several years ago, it was decent…good price and great location. This past time, the room felt dirty, the locks on the windows did not work ( ground floor) and the bathroom also dirty. Also on previous stays, the AC never quite works correctly. In the past we justified staying here for the location and price for the area, but we just don’t feel good staying here anymore.
1-night trip

6/10 Good

I couldn't give 5 stars because there were multiple holes in our fitted sheet and the one was huge so there was no way it could've been missed. The room soda had a weird smell.
Janel, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room was horrible They didnt gave me room I booked also. They gave me a very small room and AC was not working.
Anany, 1-night trip

Hard pass

The place was not maintained well at all. It’s in a great location and had cute room decor, but there was so much work needed. There is a terrible smell when you enter the hotel, the lobby desk paint is chipped and it felt sticky, the hall carpets are stained and bunched from age, the room carpet was shredded and torn at the bathroom entrance, the shower head could not spray all of the water since most was pouring out of the tub faucet because it was so old (like 50 years) - there was no coffee available in the hotel- I was told to go down the street to their sister property got the gym and coffee.
Erica, 1-night trip

So lala

Even due checking in at 5pm, I got a not serviced (dirty) room and one occupied room. The 3rd attempt finally worked. As a courtesy, they dropped the resort fee. Still great neighborhood and staff tried their best!
Marlon, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I was told they are completely renovating this building. Well, I can tell you, it 100% needs it, sooner than later. Had to go out of building around the corner, through a parking lot and into another hotel owned by same owner just to get coffee. One staff was nice but the others looked like you were bothering them if you asked for assistance.
David, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

There were literal feces on our bathroom floor and blood on the lamp. When I told the staff they said they would take care of us. Not only did I not receive a refund but Expedia charged me twice. Done with this company. Feel free to go if you feel like getting molested by the gay prostitution all over this place
Cameron, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My group had the most wonderful experience at this older historic Hotel. When you walk in you get the sense that this iconic landmark drew a large crowd of theater and Hollywood greats. This even goes back to a property built for Lillian Gish, a pre-talkies Movie star who reached out to teach young women, the art of acting. It was originally a mentored youth hostel. The old elevator took us to our comfortable room and the big King sized bed offered the best sleep. The housekeeping service offered fresh everything on a daily basis and the hotel is tidy quaint and lovely. Free coffee is served at the elegant sister hotel next door. Thank You front desk for your friendly manner and making sure everything was great and to our satisfaction. Each member of the staff is terrific. Parking is right next door.
Goldstar, 7-night trip

6/10 Good

Overall, the pictures are misleading as to the condition of the hotel. This is an old property with some charm, but definitely has a musty smell. The bathroom was extremely tight, the shower was a standing coffin size. I chose the king bed, which took up the entirety of the room. It was quiet, but parking is NOT included and will cost you $45 a night as there is no street parking overnight in BH. The amenities listed are not part of this property location, but are for a sister property that is a close by walk.
Catherine, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

Location is amazing but when you enter the lobby it smelled like someone peed there and be careful, the hotel’s extra charges are not visible in Expedia. Sure to ask about that. I had to pay over $100 because of it.
