Overall, the hotel and room were comfortable accommodations for my husband and I. The Seascape Restaurant was very convenient and had both great food, great staff, and the best view of the beach of any restaurant in New Smryna!
The oceanfront view and pool were the reasons we chose this hotel.
Negative
The carpet was filthy and made the bottoms of our feet black! The small kitchenette had an extremely worn out and dirty sofa and occasional chair. Even though the rest of the space was clean, the gross carpet and smelly dirty upholstery furniture made you feel icky about the entire room. To the hotels credit, I noticed a calendar of upcoming dates of when the carpets on certain floors were scheduled to be cleaned.
Overall
The hotel owners need to make sure the carpets are clean for every guest and not just the lucky few who happen to stay there right after a cleaning. Would my husband and I stay at this hotel again, yes, but only if the carpets had been recently cleaned and furniture replaced.
