The bathroom had not been cleaned. There were bugs on the floor behind the toilet. The tile was filthy.
The carpet had recently been cleaned. The floor was still wet and very humid. The room was not comfortable,
because of the humidity. If we turned the air conditioner up..it just made the room cold and humid. The pool was closed and looked putrid. That was disappointing, as we had planned to enjoy some time in the pool. When my wife went to discuss the dirty bathroom with the Front Desk lady, she seemed very unimpressed, and stated, " Well, probably the bathroom wasn't even touched". They did clean the bathroom, once confronted. However, the damp carpet made the stay miserable.
We had a very, very disappointing stay. We had pre-paid for two nights for the room. We were very sad, as this was a visit to Santa Fe for our 48th Wedding Anniversary. We are on a fixed income, but we felt La Quinta was a reputable place to stay. We know it is owned by Wyndom. Sadly, La Quinta must not care.
