We checked into the hotel, asked for and were granted a12:00 check out. At around 11:15 AM, a person named Melissa phoned our room, and screamed at my wife about our rental car needing to be moved for some resurfacing work. My wife mentioned our 12/00 check out, only to be screamed at again by the lovely Melissa. My wife is not used to being screamed at by anyone, particularly by someone who we are giving money to.
I got dressed and moved our rental car in the next 10 minutes.
During our departure, I stopped by the front desk to inform Melissa that her screaming at people was not appreciated, and to remind her that we had a delayed check out. Also advised her that a simple please would be more effective than yelling at her guests. She immediately began screaming at me, which was not appreciated. She called her manager to come to the lobby. And her manager arrived immediately. Her manager tried to speak to us, but was interrupted by Melissa screaming, for ten solid minutes. Her manager attempted to quiet Melissa, so she could speak to us, but was unable to have a conversation with us about the situation Her manager was visibly upset with Melissa’s behavior. We left the situation, advising Melissa’s manager that Melissa should not be in a job that dealt with the public. In our opinion, this young lady needs some moderate mental health treatment. We, of course would never enter that establishment again, under any circumstances. Good luck to them. Ed Ahearn
