Great location for tourists
This was my first time staying at the Renaissance and it was perfect for our needs. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and had 2 rooms. The location was perfect, the subway was 1 block away, walking distance to most theaters, and plenty of places to eat nearby if you didn’t want to venture far. Each staff member from the people at the front desk, to the house keeping staff, to the bartenders were fantastic, friendly and helpful. We were here in February so the crowds in Times Square were manageable. I can imagine this area is much more crowded when the weather is warmer. NY prices are outrageous to begin with but we felt like we got our money’s worth.

All good (bed, reception, room, cleanliness etc) as you would expect from any mainline hotels in Manhattan. If you want anything to do after 11pm you have to go out to other hotels as they shut everything. I found that very poor from a Marriott hotel.
