Bring your credit card and cups!

+Easy access to the central station, bus and metro. Bed was comfy. Lots of English TV channels. Aircon & fridge worked fine. You will receive an confirmation email after the city tax payment. -Long wait for the self check in as one of the machines was out of order, and the guests before us trying to check in frantically calling someone to let them to use a credit card. No luggage storages because of Covid 19. No cups/glasses, or phone to contact the staff. Food container with left over food from previous guest in the fridge. Room was not cleaned one of the days. Fire alarm went on once.

Improve that check in process!

The hotel is fantastic, great decoration, comfortable bed, design and all. The only compliant i have is that you need to check in with a computer, scan your ids and all that. That sounds practical, but the machine wasnt able to read our passports... if you call for help it goes to the bar area in the hotel and there was no one there, so after like 30min we were able to find someone that works at the hotel and could help us woth the check in, that was a nightmare as you are not even sure if there is help onsite. Aside of that great place for the value.

A-STAY’s attempt at simplicity is bordering on the absurd. The check-in takes 2-3 times as long as an interaction with a human would as you must scan the IDs of all guests and type your info in manually (while a human sits nearby and observes anyway). The property itself is quite nice, but the rooms lack basic items such as glasses, so when you wake up thirsty you find yourself drinking water from the tap like a dog. You should also request a room either facing the train station or one high enough to have a view, as my room faced the courtyard which is surrounded by taller buildings and no matter the time of day there was never any direct sun. The overall experience was a bit like Ryanair, as each and every thing you ask for has an extra cost (from coffee to late check-out).

Efficient and functional.

Very efficient European style budget hotel. Room was very functional. Palm readers for the door locks only worked about 20% of the time though so just get the regular key card.

Beware - Check your Bank statement after

This hotel is all fully automated and you don't get invoice or receipt.They said i would receive via email. I booked it through hotels.com @ €174.00 for 2 nights when i got there they told me overnight parking was €25.00 per night which i agreed to giving a total cost of €224.00. I returned home and no emails so checked my bank statement to find they had taken £290.72 out of my account
