Actually I don't want to give them 5 stars....6 is better! The fish in the restaurant was everything fish should be - large, firm delicious flakes with tasty potatoes and salsa. Good wine match and good price. And well done for remembering that my wife does not take ice in her drink! She herself often forgets to say!

Good value for money for the location in central Wellington. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Having carparking on site was a drawcard. From there it was an easy walk to Takina Convention Centre, Te Papa and Courtney Place restaurants and cafes.

Close to TePapa, shops and has a supermarket opposite. Rooms and bathrooms are old. Also the room had no aircon, so was very hot inside the rooms. So hot we slept on top of beds. No bowls or cultery. Just coffee cups, small glases, and teaspoons. Provided tea and coffee and a small jug of milk on request.

Choose me if you're stranded in Wellington,

Emergenct stop thanks to Air NZ cancelling the last flight of the day home. Perfectly situated for the stranded business traveller, not expensive and a good room (size, facilities and cleanliness) for my needs. New World opposite to buy the essential toothpaste and toothbrush at not-airport prices and only a few dollars uber back to the airport in the morning. Reception staff were wonderful.
