Roscoe, a nice town to visit!

Decided to meet a friend for the night who lived far away. We choose Roscoe because it was halfway for both of us. Service was an issue. When we went to check in, there was a sign on the door at 3 p.m. that they were out to lunch and to call a number. We did and waited quite awhile for someone to come and check us in. The house is old and very interesting. The common area had snacks and breakfast cereal for the morning. Coffee was available all the time. Our room was small. The bathroom was big and very clean. The town is interesting. We found a distillery in town with entertainment. It was fun. We had a lovely dinner at the Craft House. The next morning we had a real problem with no one being in the office. A car was parked so close to us that we could not get in the driver's seat or pull out. We again called the number and no one responded. We went for breakfast in town at a Greek restaurant. It was very good. On our way back from breakfast, we met the owner of the car. That was the only way we got the car moved. No one responded from the staff.

First of all, it's not easy to find a place to stay that is pet friendly that's on your travel path. So we were very happy that we could stay at the Reynolds and continue north. I didn't mind in the least that there is a $15 fee for the dog, but there's no indication that I could find of it when we booked it, and it couldn't be added to the charge or have a new charge to the card made (?) so it was pure luck that I had exactly $10 and my wife had just enough the cover it. That said, everything was great :) We liked the small, cozy room, with the tiny TV, wifi worked fine, bathroom, etc. all good. It's perfectly situated between the modest main street in town and the Roscoe Diner (which I used to go to 45 years ago as a halfway point in the drive to college). I would mention, though, that the morning offering consisted of coffee, an offering of pop tarts/sugary breakfast bars and a few cereals, all kids' sugar bomb types, except for Rice Krispies, which I guess to some is a reasonable option but still too sugary for us. I can't remember what this layout was referred to so it's possible it isn't even mentioned, and we were hitting the road anyway, but anyone expecting a continental breakfast will be disappointed. But the Roscoe Diner will have you covered :) Still, 5 stars. A very relaxing, recharging stay over in a clean and friendly place. We especially enjoyed sitting on the bench having our RD take-out. That was a highlight :)

Clean and updated!

Love this place! It’s convenient to get to. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and updated. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff and service were all excellent. Overall accomodations were good. The room lacked electric outlets to plug-in accessories for charging. One of the bathroom sinks did not have a sink stopper making it very easy to lose a contact lens. The shower and bathtub had water stains making it less than desirable. Despite some of the issues noted above I would consider staying there again.

Clean, tidy, but thin walls.

Proprietors were very nice and helpful. Room was clean; however the walls were very thin (we could hear the person next door snoring all night). Otherwise, was a good option for the town (not many other hotels/motels). We stayed in one of the motel rooms.
