Had a great stay here. Staff is amazing and go the extra mile. Our original departure fight was cancelled due to Covid. We were having difficulties contacting the airlines to get rescheduled. The front desk guy had a friend that worked across from the airlines office in town, called and asked him to walk over to the office and hand them the phone. That started the process of rescheduling which took some days but we got out on time. He and the other front desk worker (Patience) checked with us everyday until the issue was resolved. Beyond these two excellent employees, everyone we interacted with was delightful - John the Porter, Denis the pool bar waiter, Victor the shuttle driver, the activities concierge, wait staff at the Club restaurant.
The room was great. Our room was overlooking the watering hole. The shower had incredible water pressure and the bed was super comfortable and AC was ice cold. Only complaint is that I was there was a little more space. With 2 large check-in luggage, maneuvering around was hard.
The lodge is a 5-10 min drive to the city area. You have to rely on the shuttle service to get you there and it runs every 2-3 hours. 4 useful stops with the last bring Victoria Falls. It worked perfectly fine for our schedule
