Very good location, but expensive compared with other 5 stars hotels. There was no consideration for being golden member in hotels.com, neither upgrade nor breakfast nor exception for late check out.

Good historic hotel. Nice place to stay for a few days. Beds were a bit firm. Generally, room was clean. Bathrooms were clean, but drains provided extra scents...

Excellent location in the middle of the city center, a1930’s era hotel with lots of history and heritage of the modern Egyptian kingdom, this hotel was the most prestigious hotel in Alexandria at the time, however it doesn’t have its own parking lot

Disappointed
In a few more nuts the hotel has aged. Rooms not vacuumed. Towels have a smell. Poor coordination with hotel reservation website results in the wrong room given. Staff is best feature. Construction and room for three nights second floor awoken daily by hammering. Own Lysol spray and wipes lots of self cleaning required. Staff for breakfast helpful but choices limited. He was e it is a temporary situation that management can raise the bar on this classic hotel needing work. Hotel uses different coding so the reservations through Expedia etc are not happy noted by the hotel. Feels like bait and switch.

What a great location! I was lucky to stay in Oum Kalthoum suite and experience the panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea. This historic hotel made my stay one of a kind. Outstanding service and food! Highly recommend...A

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is very friendly and respectful of you and your time. The food is amazing and tasty and they have an open room service 24 hours. Not to mention the location of the hotel and normally they have a sit down area outside the hotel right on the ocean 24/7, but due to Corona the hotel close the outside area at 12 midnight The hotel is very clean and they clean everything every day to include your sheets and your room wiped down. Love the hotel will stat at the same hotel again!
