On Saturday, I was booked to stay at the Hampton Inn Mountain Birmingham Alabama. When I arrived after driving 9 hours from Florida, I was rudely told that they did not have any rooms and I had to find another hotel to reside for the weekend. Brian (new kid on the block) who specified they were completely sold out and overbooked stated he could not accommodate my reservation, even though I had paid in full and had a confirmation number. Numerous Hilton Customers were turned away who had made reservation (at least 10 different customers). It wasn’t until I expressed to Brian, I am a diabetic and I have asthma and I need to administer medicine to my body and I am a Hilton Honors Rewards Member, please provide me with a manager who can assist me with a room. Brian called a room and woke up Angela (the manager) and asked her to come and take care of the customers in the lobby (because he was not capable to do so). Angela was explained all of the aforementioned and once I expressed I was a Hilton Honors Rewards Member she provided me with a handicapped room (I booked a 2 bedroom Queen – Non Smoking). When I went to the room, there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. I made a second trip to the front desk and Angela stated because they had no more rooms, she would take her microwave and refrigerator and let me borrow it. I thought all was well until I got ready for bed and when I pulled back the comforter, there was a centipede bug in the bed. I was livid.
