Very friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and bar. Comfortable bed. Tea/coffee. Air conditioning! Clean enough. Parking is a pain and expensive £8.20/night. At least the garage is secure.

Very challenging at check in. As we booked thru 3rd party we needed a booking # or else the agent said he couldn't check us in. They have my name, passport and credit card, but a booking # is the key to check people in ? He finally found "another way" to get us registered. Coffee machine and vending machine broken. Bed was excellent! Probably not again.

This hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Chesterfield near shops, the Market, restaurants and pubs. All members of staff are friendly, helpful and very pleasant. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet with excellent coffee ‘on tap’ and dined in the simple but delicious in house restaurant nearly every night. They have a decent Happy Hour in their small bar too. We shall be returning to this hotel on our next visit to Chesterfield

The staff was very welcoming. But the rooms are old and not everything was clean (hair in the shower, coffee stains on the wall, etc.). First room I got,102, is a special needs room, I guess that was the only one available. After the first night I started getting headaches because of a very strong musty smell. Luckily I could switch rooms and everything was fine.

No shampoo or washcloth. One towel for two people. No Kleenex. Very basic room for £150 is not worth it. Find any other hotel that at least offers shampoo.
