2/10 Poor

Awful
We didn’t even stay. The room was so awful. It was full of mould, not clean with hair all over the bathroom. The room was falling apart and smelt like sewage. We spoke to the receptionist who was swearing at other customers and over charging them for tax. We tried changing the room but he didn’t want to know. We haven’t got our money back and haven’t heard back from the hotel. We then had to pay out for another hotel

NO A/C be aware in Italy they wont turn A/C in these months. Regardless of what they offer on amenities. Thee rooms are small and hot. All of them hotels even if they say they have A/C. It was hot as F. The lady in front desk seemed P.O. at the world. No manners or Customer service skills. Just blunt face and no nothing. Heres your keys get out of my face thing. F that.

Good location, weird set up down the road
OK so here's the deal - the hotel says they have a lift, ummmm, sure if you actually stayed in that location. We did not, they have another location (maybe others too??) down the road so had to trek our stuff down the road, the guy gave us the passcode and was like here, open the door, go up the stairs and find your room - ummm no room numbers, no help with luggage, super weird! Anyway, once we tried our key on multiple doors, we found ours, the room was big (that's a surprise in Europe!), we had 3 of us, so a King (we had them split it to 2 beds) and a pull out (wasn't bad at all). Next day, we go to leave, ummmm, he had quickly said do this to open and do that to close and then the reverse to leave, took us a few mins to figure it out - sheesh! All in all, the location was great, the room was spacious but super weird set up down the road, difficult door and zero help with bags - the housekeeping lady was there when we were leaving each day so at least she understood what we needed since going to the main lobby was hit or miss if anyone would be there.

Too hard to handle
Great location, quiet and clean room but the bed was very hard and the pillows harder still. I have never experienced such a hard pillow and it interfered with my ability to get a good night’s sleep. That in turn detracted from my ability to enjoy Venice.

The hotel room was very small and dark. The bathroom was tiny and the breakfast was bland. OK for a cheap 1/2 night stop in Venice, however I would recommend paying extra for a bigger room.

The hotel had beautiful charm. Very clean. Pillows to be desired, but ok. A little confusing to get around the halls but after a day you can figure it out. Be able to climb stairs. Breakfast available was great, coffee not so much, But the best Crossiants ever!!!! No USB ports in room so bring European converter.

Quirky Very central Venice hotel.
A very old and traditionally decorated room. For one night it was perfect and the breakfast was good. 30 seconds walk to st Marks Square and the Basilica. We think it offered great value for money and was excellent for an overnight in Venice.

BED BUGS running about in our bed, under the top sheet, in the first appointed room!! AVOID at all costs. The surly receptionist did give us another room which involved us stripping the bed to check and then worrying all night and having to store our cases in the bath. The hotel was also a dangerous never ending rabbit warren of dark corridors and levels, many stairs and slow small lifts. We got lost several times during our ONE night stay so a nightmare to escape quickly from, as in a possible fire - that would be impossible in my opinion! Couldn't wait to leave.

The staff was amazing. They gave me one of the nicest rooms with a balcony, overlooking a small passage. Doodoo was the finest helper for our suitcases. He brought them up 3 flights of stairs. Always happy , with a beautiful smile. The service for breakfast was spot on. They always had a steady supply of breakfast plates. The coffee was fantastic. I certainly recommend this hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location is excellent, if you stay here I’d suggest viewing it as a place to sleep and provide you convenience to the surrounding areas. I will say that my view on the hotel was tainted from the start when we arrived to our room and were welcomed with a horrible stain on our bed (i’ll spare the detail). I asked to be moved or at the very least have all the bedding replacing of which they did apologise and promptly replaced everything, but to have that as your welcome to the hotel does put you in a negative frame of mind. Sadly there was no real improvement from there, the staff were unhelpful and often held personal conversations over assisting you and on multiple occasions we where either ignored or waiting a long time to be acknowledged. We were never told at booking or check in that they offered a complimentary breakfast which upset us when we missed it the first morning. Although this was quickly rectified when we went the second morning to witness what the breakfast was. It was a very spars arrangement that smelt off and honestly, we turned around after having one look. Its just a shame that this service is what we experienced whilst celebrating our honeymoon. But if you know this is the service you’ll receive than the location does offer the hotel some extra points.
