We stayed in hotel Villa Vie in December 2021, during Covid and clearly off-season. We were the only guests in the hotel and were treated with utmost attention.
We booked one of two junior suites and were given the option to choose between the two rooms. One is in the main building and has heated floors and view of the castle, the other in the older part of the building and has a balcony (with castle view from the balcony). We chose the former, for the indoor castle view and heated floors.
It was a nice room, but in my opinion could do with a bit of styling and some more amenities. Most were available in the common area downstairs, but it made the room feel a bit bare bones, especially for the rate that was nearly €200 per night.
The castle was just 15 minutes walk away, and so was town. Parking free and right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was standard but good, I loved the warm German bread rolls but would have appreciated a choice of eggs rather than a hard boiled egg.
All in all, I think the hotel was nice and we enjoyed our stay, but for this rate I had higher expectations.
