We expected more for the price

Our hotel stay was ok. On the plus side, the staff were extremely helpful and sweet, and the location was fantastic. We stayed on the quiet side of the building, away from the on-ramp/traffic. On the minus side- some kind of system (ventilation?) was in overdrive and the bathroom door rattled in its frame as a result - only really noticeable in the bathroom. The doors have seen better days and the breakfast cafe patio was dirty/ used for storage, not guests, as in the photos. Breakfast was a fiasco - understaffed and inefficient. Seating, order taking, beverages, and eventually food took 30-40 minutes. Food was poor quality and lacking any form of presentation. We were so disappointed that we canceled our hotel breakfast the following morning and went to one of the many great diners in the neighbourhood instead. Front desk staff had no problem accommodating the request for a refund. They also helped us to find transportation to our next stop, so things ended on a positive note.

Don’t get a room on the 8th floor!

The Parker Hotel is nice and it’s in a good location, but our experience was not good. After an early morning ferry and taxi from Vancouver Island, we arrived at the Parker Hotel, dropped our bags and left for our suspension bridge/Grouse mountain tour. Then we enjoyed the Celebration of Lights fireworks show. We got to our room at the Parker Hotel around 11 pm, tired and ready for a good nights sleep. Our room was on the 8th floor, just under the Parker Rooftop Restaurant and Bar which was rented out for a wedding party. The drumming and loud music went on until 12:30 am and that was followed by another half-hour of furniture and equipment rolling and being shoved around the floor above our room. Sunday was Fun Night at the Rooftop Bar which lasted until 10 pm. Not as bad as the wedding noise but very unwelcome after Saturday night/morning. Make sure they don’t give you a room on the 8th floor if you came to sleep! It’s NOT a place for restful sleep. They gave us vouchers for free breakfasts for the two mornings to compensate for the terrible noise, but the restaurant was VERY understaffed and kitchen service and beverage service was extremely slow. My son wanted waffles but they did not have fruit which was part of that breakfast so it was unavailable on both mornings. They also ran out of orange juice on the second morning. Next time I’m in Vancouver, I’ll find another place to stay.

Super beliggenhet i et hyggelig område. Gangavstand til mye, lett adkomst til taxibåtene, som tar deg til andre deler av byen. Resesjonen var veldig hjelpsom. Fine rom og fin takterrasse.

Absolute nightmare

Being a gold member I was supposed to get a bottle of wine if I booked with their ridiculous prices for the 3 days I stayed there that I never received. The room smelled like mold I had to by an air freshener to spray just to cover up the smell. The bed was like a cardboard box now I think I need to go to the chiropractor. There was no do net disturb signs and I had people trying to come into the room constantly and on top of all that they charged me for the water bottles in the room. Probably would never stay there again and definitely wouldn’t recommend either. I’m not much of a reviewer but feel I had to say something about my stay considering how much they are charging a night absolutely ridiculous
