Surely the renovation will improve things
Upon checking in, I was impressed with the atmosphere. The courtyard is beautiful with a fire pit in the middle. A coffee nook with complimentary snacks and beverages like pastries, tea, OJ and yogurt was open 24/7. There was a bottle of red wine with 2 glasses ready to enjoy in our clean room. Customer service was spot on and I really felt like my needs mattered to each staff member I interacted with. On our first morning we accidentally spilled coffee on our sheets and housekeeping came to change them right away, we really appreciated that. However, the property is definitely in need of the renovation the new owners are currently doing. I specifically booked my room for the jetted tub, which stopped working half way through my trip-the faucet was already on it’s last leg being that it is loose in the wall, and when filling the tub the valve wasn’t fully functioning, making it impossible to turn off the shower head completely and direct the water to run through the tub faucet. It was difficult to get hot water and the temperature was mostly lukewarm throughout our stay. On the last night, I ran a bath and was unable to get the water temperature warm enough, plus the jets would not turn on at all-I was super disappointed because the jetted tub was the selling point when I booked this room. The most uncomfortable part was the bed-the mattress was rock hard and pillows were worn out, I hardly slept the entire trip and woke up in pain. Our experience was just ok overall.
