At first, I did the check-in online and it put a hold on my card. Then when I got to the hotel, the clerk was not friendly, didn't smile, and was very dry. I had to complete the check-in process again and put ANOTHER hold on my card. Then we get to the room and it is advertised as a non-smoking room. It completely reeks of smoke as if it had been a smoking room for a while. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom also was missing a hair dryer. I never bring mine from home since hotels supply them, so this was a huge inconvenience. Lastly, the front counter concession had only 3 options when there is an advertised menu of a good selection. The only available options were bottled water, plain potato chips, and nuts. I was pretty disappointed in this particular La Quinta.
