Not a great experience
I’ve stayed here in the past and all was great. This time made me change my mind about returning. We booked 2 nights through hotels.com. I had to cancel due to a family emergency. I understood I would have to pay for the first night. Hotels.com did call the hotel to advocate for me but without any success. I called the on duty manager to explain my situation. He was very short with me, said there was nothing he could do would keep the room reserved in case we changed our mind. At the time we were in the middle of a family crisis. I told him to cancel it completely as I did not want to be charged 2 nights. The next day I was shocked to get an email asking about my check in. The room was never cancelled at all and we would have been charged both nights. We ended up going the second night as my family member had become stable. The tv in our room did not work. We advised the same on duty manager of this at noon. We returned back to our room later in the evening and it was not fixed. No indication that anyone even tried to fix it. I called the front desk and they suggested we move rooms at 10:00 pm when all we wanted to do was watch the news and go to bed. We were compensated 20% which we appreciated but still an expensive stay. Not sure I’d come back and would probably choose another hotel nesrby which is less expensive. I do plan on speaking to the GM but I don’t expect much from them.
