I really wanted to like the place because it's got some cool historic character. However, know that 'historic character' also means it's hopelessly dated -- rooms are small, mattress was old, shower head in the bathroom at belly-height with not enough hot water, barely basic cable on the TV stations, wonky old heater, beat up furniture and finishes in the room. The location is also right next to the hospital district so you're going to hear sirens all night. In the case of my stay there was also a bunch of road construction -- jackhammers start at 7:00am. The restaurant is nice, the lobby is nice, and the service was good.
