No kitchenette - don't bother
If you're booking the place for the sake of a kitchenette - don't bother. I even confirmed, both during booking and during check-in that there will be one - and there wasn't. Instead we were brought a cooktop, a greasy pan and tiny pot hardly big enough to boil an egg. We were planning to make our own meals due to dietary restrictions and this made our lives quite difficult. Also, we were placed in a different building than the one we booked, and had to walk outside to the hot tub in the other building.

Decent for the price
Typical of what you would expect from a budget friendly motel. The rooms could use an upgrade and a deep clean but nothing that was a deal breaker for us. What they really need to do is ensure their parking lot is cleared after it snows. Also, the pool in the Selkirk building is not operational. There is a pool and hot tub in the Monashee building. And I certainly do NOT reccomend eating at the Denny's.

Everything is fine, but there are still some things that can be improved. The coffee and hot water provided by hotel in the Lobby are always not hot enough. The swimming pool and hot tub should be clean more often. My child’s skin feels itchy after swimming. Other than that, most of the experience was good.

Not ideal
Mattresses were worn out. No closet or wall hooks so absolutely nowhere to hang a jacket or any ski gear. Very noisy with train and highways and almost all guests with diesel rigs warming them up along with 2 stroke sleds. Gym equipment all out of order. Bathroom fan comes on with light and so loud if the room next door uses bathroom it wakes you up.

Our stay was ok. The building is clearly older and while some things have been “updated” some have not. We got a “suite”, the kitchen was a sink/stove top/fridge all in one unit straight out of 1975, not sure how it would pass code today. We didn’t use it so I can’t speak to how well it worked. The room had a peculiar smell that wasn’t strong but was there and bothered me whenever we were in the room. The bed was reasonably comfortable.
