Beautiful!
My partner and I stayed here 1 night whilst doing the twin coast cycle trail and I wish we'd spent at least another night here. The whole place has been amazingly restored and extremely clean. Our room was very large and the room and the bathroom were beautiful. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant during our stay and although it wasn't cheap the food was amazing and worth the price. The restaurant / cafe had a good range of unique teas. I would definitely stay here again. The place would be ideal as a base to explore the east and west coast or for a relaxing escape.

Lovingly restored accommodation
Most staff amazing but on checking out we were not allowed to settle our account until 8.30 am which was lucky as we were not in a rush to leave. Our dinner was overpriced and my dishes tasted odd- sadly couldn’t recommend this place for dining but my husband who had been in February said the meal was better when he visited.

This is a recently renovated bank building in a small town in Northern New Zealand. The renovations we very well done and we had an excellent meal there. Since it was a bit of an out of the way location we were a bit nervous but our expectations were exceeded.

I like the restaurant that was part of the building. The backpacker area also had a little section with a TV, and a kitchen. The only downside for me was that you had to pay for a blanket.

The Left Bank was a perfect place to stay for our halfway point for the Twin Coast Trail. Brook was so helpful and friendly. We dropped our bags early and she organised everything to be delivered to our rooms. The restaurant was really lovely- delicious food and lovely environment. Secure lockup for our bikes at nighttime. It couldn’t have been better for our overnight stay on the trail!

What a Gem!
Amazing repurposed building - tastefully renovated in every detail! Even the modular glampackers space! Pretty amazing all round and super clean! The staff are lovely. Brooke and Jade very welcoming and warm - just made us feel comfortable. Would surely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area !
