Hotel and staff was fantastic way better than the Intercontinental. However upon check in the staff charged me for the stay even tho I had already paid in full through hotels.com, the 900$ charge ruined my vacation, that was half of my spending money, it will take up to 7 days to get my refund. The situation as of now seems resolved but I guess il know up to 7 days later to see if I get my refund. Overall it was a negative experience and very frustrating.

Billing Confusion and Additional Charges
Billing was an absolute mess! Several thousands in hold charges showed pending on our credit card for days against a 3-night stay. Hundreds of dollars billed despite prepaid. $25 Resort Fee with a $25 credit at the Cafe required excessive management of food purchases each day so as to not forfeit the fee. Rate included "free parking" but there was no explanation on how to accomplish resulting in 2 of 3 nights charged for valet parking with zero attempt to resolve the issue from Marriott.

It was meh. Outside is dirty, inside reeks of cigars and tobacco. Rooms are just ok. Would not book again. I will say the gentleman at the club lounge check in was delightful, I’d go say hi to him but that’s it.

Didn’t like the mandatory $25/day service charge that was added.
I am platinum member and get breakfast at the concierge level. I didn’t eat or drink there, so effectively I got charged $50 extra for no reason. This should be waived for loyal Bonvoy customers.
