Just ok. Overpriced. Great if you want to be next to the ocean. That is what you are paying for. The food was absolutely mediocre. The resort was completely "choppy" and difficult to navigate. Half the resort was across the street. You will pay a $ 40-a-day resort fee that gets you absolutely nothing but internet. Service at the Lava's restaurant was lousy. No one manned the host desk; several times, we had to flag someone down to be seated. We rented a mask and snorkel for 15 dollars a day. My son lost the mask, and they want to charge $100 to replace it. It was worth $15.00 at most. They are a subcontractor of the hotel and operate separately. No store on site sells any essentials, but there is a coffee snack shop with limited items. My advice is to rent an Air, B & B and use an Insta cart or go get essentials at Walmart. All that said, we paid more for an oceanfront room, which was nice, but could have been gotten elsewhere for much less. No good value here.
