I chose the Blake for the restaurant and bar on premises, but was not told it was not open places in the immediate area was pack so I didn’t wanna go to them.

Good hotel

Good hotel. Easy check in. I had to remind front desk person I am allergic and to make sure I wasn’t in dog friendly room. They give you espresso pods at desk, had to ask for more than one (who drinks only one tiny espresso?). Room was small but nice. Good bed with lots of outlets and lighting options. Bathroom was nice, good shower. Would have liked a makeup mirror. Floor was noisy. Hotel wasn’t crowded and so I found it weird multiple people were on floor. Two rooms sounded like they were having a party. Liked having kitchenette but dishwasher kept making beeping sounds. Overall nice hotel and would stay here again.

New in New Haven

Check-in COVID-style was a little disappointing after I was told that there was no food service at all, but that I could order locally and get delivery. Under the circumstances a list of restaurants that deliver would have been nice. The room was great! Immaculate and large, with an attractive kitchenette and over-sized bathroom. Hotel is quiet and close to Yale campus.

The hotel is lovely! Please note if you're booking on Expedia that the $100 pet fee isn't easily found. Yes, Expedia lists it under the policy section, which isn't easily found on mobile. We didn't find out about the fee until we checked it. As much as we loved the hotel, we would have selected somewhere with either no fee or a cheaper fee. I don't fault the hotel, rather Expedia's website on mobile.

Excellent Service!

The service was exceptional. I’m currently on crutches and the staff made sure all accommodations I needed were met (they had a wheelchair on site). It was the best stay ever, considering the circumstances.

Was charged a smoking fee 172$ !!! and explained that it was a noise complain and the fee was for that, but in fact we just took a shower and went to bed, that's all. Nobody smoked as well. Rediculous. Never stay there.
