An unfortunate wellness spa

I spent one night here very excited to have the experience and had not read previous reviews. Upon arrival the facility is large, spacious and beautiful exterior. However immediately this placed lacks heart and soul. For a wellness spa that I am paying top dollar for there was no concierge service, no directioning to help navigate the facility and truly welcome you. It was cold and empty. As I made it to my room I didn’t find it anything special except for the heated toilet seats. I went to the woman’s spa area and it was filthy. There were no robes, barely any clean towels and no attendant. They left sandals and packages undies/bra for you to take. The toilets were not working as well as the steam room and jacuzzi. The place was deserted and no one to assist you. I was able to use the gym which was fine, no teacher showed up for the 7:30 pm meditation class. I was starting to really be underwhelmed. I booked a deep tissue massage for the next day. There was no receptionist to greet me in the atrium and I had no idea where to go. I’m sorry but if I am paying $180 for a massage the service and amenities should be impeccable. Not to mention they charged me for a resort fee when I payed for my treatment. It was extremely over priced for the services. My masseuse also had to get me a robe. The belt was discolored. When I arrived in the dining room for breakfast the tables were dirty and there was only 1 waiter doing his best to serve everyone. The food was not spa quality.

The pool is absolutely freezing.

The facility was beautiful but there were a few issues. I wanted to spend all day by the pool and hot tub. The pool is beautiful but absolutely freezing. Everyone would go in for about 5 minutes and that’s all they could take or wouldn’t go in at all because it was too cold. It is not heated and not pleasant to be in at all. Also, there are no lounge chairs by the pool. My girlfriend loves yoga and thought she would be taking different yoga classes all day. There is one yoga class that is offered twice a day and is for beginners. I think there would be a lot more to do outside in nice weather. If you are looking to relax by the pool and are a yoga enthusiast then this is not the place to go. The hot tub was really nice.

Highly recommend this tranquil retreat

Last minute getaway from the hustle and bustle to the beautiful pristine and tranquil retreat was exactly what we needed and more. Every staff was friendly and caring, treatments (esp. The shower stall that turns into a steamroom was very impressive) were educational and relaxing. Food quality and service were mindful and attentive.

Great but problem

We were surprised when we first arrived because our room looked nothing like the one in the picture we booked. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they said that if we didn't like it we should go home. Shortly thereafter they provided us with the correct room. You should make your pictures match the room being booked so this doesn't happen again. Don't post pictures of the Accessible Deluxe room if you do not actually provide it to guests. Other than that, our stay was great and we are returning guests.
