To start on the good note I have to say that it’s a brand new facility with nice clean rooms, working air conditioning and appliances.
That’s it!
Our first disappointment was the beach. And don’t get me wrong I always go yo DR because of beaches of Punta Cana. I don’t want to seat in the pool with strangers all day long. But you cannot swim and enjoy the ocean on this resort’s beach. IT’S VERY SHALLOW! Probably about 2 feet deep. You go 100 yards into the water and it’s still… 2 feet. While your feet are in water, your body burns under the sun. There is no joy “swimming” in this water. The bottom of the sea is covered by sleazy seaweed which is also very unpleasant.
Very limited dining options. Everybody is forced to eat in the main buffet with a very limited food choices. There’s not much to choose from, same food every day. The buffet was out of service for two days while we were there, because something wasn’t working right and they had to fix it. Guests were forced to go to the neighboring Serenade resort’s diner area which was overpacked with guests. Plus, every time you want to go eat you have to check in by the door answer the question about the room you stay in, what allergies you have and the number of guests you bring in. I have never experienced this before on any other PuntaCana resorts and I’ve been to many.
So, think twice before you book this place. A few hundred dollars difference may not worth it at all.
