Disappointing stay
Check in was not smooth. The person checking me in didn't look like they'd showered in a few days. They also had trouble with the check in process, and at the end of it I had to ask what my room number was. Once I got up to my room, the front desk called me 3 times to confirm I was supposed to be in that room. I had to ask them to stop calling me. The TV kept shutting off when I was watching it, and resetting. The room was FREEZING even though the thermostat was set to 78.

It was ok. Not up to par with other Hiltons
Our stay was enjoyable overall, and we plan to return. The evening front desk team and nighttime bartender provided impressive service, demonstrating their friendliness and professionalism. Nevertheless, some areas need improvement. The morning front desk worker's behavior was unacceptable, seeming rude and put off by tasks or requests, which raises concerns about her suitability for the role. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet was disappointing, with cold food at 7:30, likely due to inactive warmers. Meaning they was in warmers, but they didn’t work or wasn’t turned on. This fell short of our expectations, given the Hilton brand's reputation and associated costs. Although our experience was mostly satisfactory, it did not entirely meet our expectations for a Hilton hotel.

So Gross
Super gross. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a while, and we travel a lot. When we arrived, we had requested a “Plaza Lights View” in advance and instead received a no view room and were told there was nothing else available. We then were charged several times to come and go from the garage parking. This issue was resolved when I went to the front desk at check out, but I definitely had to say something as their policy states there is only one garage fee for a 24 hour period. (We were there for less than 24 hours). Also, housekeeping tried to enter our room at 8:00am fortunately we had the indoor latch secured or they would have just come in as they did open the door without knocking. Then they knocked again at 10:00am to clean. The check out time was at noon, so all of this was very unnecessary and stressful. Finally the bathroom was filthy! Tiny curly black hairs were all over the shower. So gross. We did not feel comfortable taking a shower or really using the bathroom at all while we were there.

Not worth it.
It was a family stay with two kids, who really wanted to enjoy pool, and when we booked this hotel nobody told us that the pool is under construction. Now we have two very upset kids and not happy parents. Another disappointment was the view, I paid extra to have a plaza view with Christmas lights. And we got the neighborhood view no lights or anything exciting. Again hotels said it wasn’t their fault, and hotels.com should be responsible for this. For me, I probably never gonna use hotels.com and Hilton hotel would be the last place I’m gonna stay in. For the price I was charged it’s not worth to have upset kids when we supposed to have a great family time.

Great stay for KC game!
We had a great stay at this hotel! Despite the restaurant being under renovation, the service was excellent, and the BLT sandwiches were delicious. The beautiful scenery and proximity to the Plaza made it easy to explore on foot. Additionally, the valet service was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel!
