Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown River North
10/10 Excellent
"The room was spotless and the hotel was clean and decorated nicely for the holidays. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The manager’s reception and breakfast are both fabulous.

"We were looking for a hotel that would keep us close to everything; we're a couple that was looking forward to walking all over downtown Chicago-and this hotel fit the bill very well. The hotel itself has an older historic feel to it. The room was pretty basic but we weren't looking for lap of luxury nor modern fixings: we were looking for a comfortable place to stay where we could unwind after a long day in the city-and Club Quarters Wacker hotel nailed it! The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was small but clean and with excellent water pressure. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave and suitable sink. The living space was small but there was just 2 of us so we were absolutely fine. The reception desk/system was EXCELLENT-very responsive and friendly! When I made the reservation 1 week in advance, I asked for a high floor with river views and we got it! The location of our room on the 36th floor overlooking the Chicago River really was amazing! Maybe other's stay experience may vary, but considering what we paid and all that we received, we are extremely happy with our stay. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a comfortable stay with the basics in an excellent location."
