Tortuga Bay Beach
You have to walk about 2.5km to get to Tortuga Beach, but it is completely worth it. Very few people on the beach, but lots of iguanas everywhere. :) Strong currents, please follow the flags on the beach.

Charles Darwin Research Station
Giant tortoises are the longest-lived of all vertebrates, averaging over 100 years. The oldest on record lived to be 152. There are now only 11 types of giant tortoises left in the Galápagos, down from 15 when Darwin arrived. Hunted as food by pirates, whalers, and merchantmen during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, more than 100,000 tortoises are estimated to have been killed off.

"The hotel, staff and breakfast were all excellent. The location is right on the port with many of the rooms, and balconies, overlooking th water and beautiful sunsets. A special call out to the staff who were incredibly supportive during a tsunami evacuation, going so far as making sure we got to the airport after the all clear. "
