Bare bones accommodations. When I arrived, they had laundry hanging in my room that had to be moved out before I could settle in. I was visiting during a heatwave (obviously not there fault) and the fan in my room was broken and very dirty. No hot water in the shower I used. Other visitors very noisy well past the curfew. It got the job done, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Cheap price, cheap room.
Honestly, for the price, it wasn't bad. We had a very large room, with a small balcony overlooking the Rambla. After seeing the other comments, I can say it's a bit noisy, but it wasn't too bad. On the other hand, you have to close the windows at night, which can be problematic as there's no air conditioning in the room, only a fan. So I wouldn't recommend it in the middle of summer. The shared rooms were nice and clean. The other travelers were discreet and quiet. The mattress and pillows were horrible though. Really uncomfortable.

I absolutely loved the affordability and convenient location of the Parisien, which was right in the middle of La Rambla. Douglas and the other staff are very also very friendly and accommodating. The inside was very quiet for the whole week that I stayed there.

My flight was cancelled so I didn't arrive until the following day. The hotel had 2 phone lines, neither of which was answered over 2 days nor could Hotels.com contact them. I arrived a day late to find my room re-let! Jorge who worked there was very helpful and found me a room elsewhere. But what a farce, no phones working!

Amazing location, staff really friendly, but rooms are way too hot. I wouldn’t stay there during hot months. There was a fan up on the wall but it didn’t help much. I’m sure it’s perfect in the off season.

FANTASTIC location - directly on La Rambla, this was an incredibly convenient hostal, less than a block from the Mercado with plenty of cheap, tasty food. The room was small but had a comfortable bed. That said, the window opens onto La Rambla which is a loud, bustling street every night until about 5 or 6am, so if you have trouble sleeping it will not be easy here. There was one funky shower, and another bathroom which didn't have towels to dry your hands stocked and at one point ran out of toilet paper. Fantastic place to stay if you need somewhere close to the center of everything and a little privacy, but all in all I think I may have been better off in a hostel for the price.

Great value. Quaint and charming, and the location is amazing. I booked a private room and bathroom and it was very cozy for a 5-day trip alone. Orbitz listed the room as a twin bed but my room had a full bed, which was a pleasent surprise! The staff speaks enough English to communicate what is needed and only one employee seemed annoyed that I didn't speak Catalan or Spanish.

Good location, convenient transport, nice staffs. However there is no window in the room for air circulation except the balcony. It’s not ideal to share the balcony with next room. It’s quite noisy even at night if the balcony door was open and may disturb sleep.
