The Hotei is 4 star status, but the facilities are not fresh and almost obsolete. The staff is kind and well-educated. Price was good this time.

Smooth checkin. Buffet breakfast was marvellous. Room small and layout wasn't great, but we made do. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Biggest complaint was the hopeless flat pillows.

Our room smelled of mold. The room was hot and I was told the central air conditioning had been turned off for the season. They gave us a fan. The check in was very strict. If you were there at 2:45 pm you could not check in until 3 pm. Many people sitting in the lobby waiting until 3 pm. There were no usb ports in the room.
