I stayed in Room 6 on the ground floor. The room itself was very basic but in acceptable condition. The bar served good beer, and while I ordered a beef burger for £10, I found it disappointingly small and lacking—surprisingly, it was worse than a McDonald’s burger in both taste and presentation.
Unfortunately, the noise was a major drawback. The bar noise continued until late, and even after it closed, I was disturbed by a persistent creaking from the floor above. This went on until around 1:15 am, making it hard to sleep. The creaking started again as early as 5:50 am, which felt like someone was walking around nonstop above my room. Given the frequency of the footsteps, it’s likely a staff or host room. Eventually, I gave up trying to rest and left the room by 7 am.
Overall, while the facilities were passable, the poor noise control severely impacted my experience, making it difficult to recommend this hotel for those needing a good night’s sleep.
