Our welcome to the hotel was that for the check in we had to wait 40 minutes. We arrived past 4 pm that is the check in time and our room was not ready, they started to cleaning it then. We had to wait and then the person (young man) that was receiving us left and passed us to another front desk person, to start it all over again. She was nice and professional, Chayanne, is her name (a lady from Jamaica, and very nice too). I went to that hotel to celebrate my birthday but got all those surprises. We had issues with the cleaning of the room for two times. They forgot to clean it and change the towels, even if I mentioned to the front desk from day one, that I wanted daily cleaning. I had to go to the front desk to complain about it. It is a nice hotel nice de-lux room, the one that we selected with OK décor, etc. The breakfast is good, but always is the same, even if it is has an OK selection, but there is no fish at all. No herring or even salmon, being in Scandinavia so strange that it is not offered like in other hotels. After 5 days you get tired of the same and we were there for 8 nights. Also, the square in front of the hotel usually is dirty, lots of trash and papers can be found around and on the side streets and that does not give you a nice first impression when you get there. Lovely hotel Art Deco style but the streets are not the cleanest, like in the old town. I might return there, hoping the service will improve as well. The price a bit expensive for all that.
