Absolutely horrible experience with this property and Expedia. I arrived to find the buildings abandoned. When I called the boss he told me they had closed and had no connection with Expedia. I recieved no refund from the property or Expedia dispite never actually checking in

You need a 4x4 to drive to hotel and you need GPS.
I thought the staff, Alisy and the other lady and Peter were very pleasant and tried to do their best. However, I think that the Hotel is not really an Eco lodge. The location is extremely far from the main road on a dirt track. We were the ONLY guests in the hotel during this high season. (Well, figure that out). The rooms need to be "CLEAN" and proper maintenance is required.
There was no bath gel or soap and the shower head was broken and the basins dirty.
Having said that, we had given our comments to the staff, Alisy and they want to genuinely improve hotel.

Beautiful spot with beautiful people
Vatia beach had been recommended to me by a fellow traveller who had loved it, so I had to check the place out. So peaceful and beautiful with stunning sunsets. The staff were amazing! So bubbly and full of life. I loved my stay would totally go again and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone considering staying

Cheap and good for the price, food good - esp crab
Cheap and adequate - en suite room was fine and clean, with comfortable bed. This is not a 5* after all. Stopped on the way along the King's Highway - good way to break up the journey. Food was good - ask for the local crab which is great.
Communication could be a bit difficult at times. A bit too much Fiji time and some flexibility in setting up fishing/diving trips would help.

La plage n’est pas top, les bungalows ne sont pas du tout insonorisés et la wifi ne fonctionne pas.
De plus difficile d’acceder sans voiture.
Cependant famille très sympa et serviable.

Peace!
I stayed here for 2 nights. The bedroom was extremely comfortable with bathroom. Also, a lovely touch were the Pure Fiji toiletries.
I enjoyed the food and the price. Breakfast was incredible, not only a feast to eat but a visual feast, I had to go to my room to get my camera to take photos.
I went to the village and Tavuca island by kayak. The next day, I took a boat to Manaba Island and Twin rocks, amazing for snorkeling. After my check out, I took a taxi from Vatia to Tavua ($20), were I went to the market and I watched rugby.
Horse riding is another option but I dont know how to do it hehe.
During my holiday in Fiji, I have stayed in many different places and this one again was very enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vatia Beach.
