I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was not a good experience. (My compliments to the photographer for making it look better than it was. Very deceiving). I thought it was going to be a nostalgic throwback to the glory days of Silver Springs. Wrong.
There was no breakfast or even coffee, the pool is closed and not maintained, there was a table and two chairs in the room, but nothing else for furniture or decor, very noisy window A/C window unit. The only thing that looked updated was the bed itself which was NOT the "best bed in town" as they advertise. Matter of fact, if you have issues with your back, it could be especially bad. On the plus side there was cable TV, so, there's that. I think some of the guests were "extended stay" which is usually not a good sign for small motels, but we didn't have any problems with the other guests. The worst thing was that the staff treated us less like motel guests and more like intruders in their house.
I hate to be so negative, but this is the truth.
