10/10 Excellent

Nice place to stay in very close range of the Volcano National Park. Our children hat lots of fun with the animals at the farm.

We really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for our family, and even our often sulky teenager had big smiles every time he interacted with any of the animals on the property! Thank you to the host!
Hilary, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Unique farmhouse property with a lovely sunporch overlooking the pond and farm. Surrounded by friendly goats and assorted geese, ducks, chickens, roosters, farm cats and a pig nicknamed “Vlad the Destroyer”. Great freshly-made breakfasts, too.
Jeffrey, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I had a really great experience at this B&B on a beautiful ranch, the host was incredibly accommodating, even with my last minute booking. She was out of town and made sure everything was ready upon our arrival and that we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond. She even shared with me where she purchased some of the beautiful decorations, which I really appreciated. The place was clean, stylish and comfortable... I would definitely stay here again!

10/10 Excellent

The property was ideally located to explore the National Volcano Park area of Hawaii.
Jesse, 6-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Theresa is an amazing host at an incredible property. It was great to interact with the animals. She helped us understand how to see the volcano eruption and even went out of her way to wake up other guests to be sure they didn't miss it. She has thought of everything including "junk" towels to clean up shoes after hiking. The breakfasts were delicious, and the papaya boats were excellent. The location near the volcano is convenient too. Excellent. Planning my return trip already

Lovely BnB, great location and host.

We loved the stay, really family friendly and and great location near the volcanoes national park. We loved the animals, especially the chickens roosting up the tree. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful B&B near Volcanoes N.P.

Super comfortable and well appointed room in a delightful setting near Volcanoes National Park. The barn yard animals roaming the grounds were delightful!
John, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

My 7 and 8 year old kids loved this place so much. They named all of the animals and got to run around and have a blast playing with them. The place is very convenient to get to the park and the breakfast was delicious. Our 2 room accommodations worked great for our family of 4. My kids keep asking when we can go back.

Fabulous breakfast, comfortable accommodations, lovely animals. Great spot

10/10 Excellent

Great B&B! Owner had prompt communication and provided several helpful tips. Loved having an our own private Hale which was outfitted with all the essentials including comfortable King bed. Kitchenette had mini-fridge with freezer. toaster-oven & microwave, coffee & tea in the room plus custom ordered breakfast (egg sandwich, omelette, or waffles) that came with a delicious papaya fruit bowl delivered to the room. We enjoyed being on the edge of town. So quiet!! And, only 10mins to Volcanos Nat Park which was excellent location when the eruption started at 2am!! This is a mini-ranch with many adorable animals( ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, donkey etc) You can even arrange to feed them. If you’re not an animal lover, be aware, but we really enjoyed the rural setting and watching all the critters while eating breakfast. We even had a goat kid on the hood of our car one morning. So cute! There’s a large manual gate to maneuver as you drive in & out and also a stone/dirt driveway which could be challenging for anyone with walking instability. We loved everything about our stay at Volcano Acres Ranch!
Many adorable animals

10/10 Excellent

This was such a unique and pleasurable stay! Super comfortable room, beautiful view, and lots of friendly animals around the property. I loved all the kitties that came out to greet us! The breakfast was delicious, I was a huge fan of the fresh papaya boats. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re an early riser and want easy access to Volcano National Park.
Jessica, 2-night trip

4/10 Poor

Understanding this is a working farm we did not expect it to be 5 star. However, when we opened the door it was very musty and smelled like no one had been in there for quite some time. The bedding felt like it was not entirely clean either plus the 2nd night found what appeared to be mice droppings in our daughter's bed. Also the rooster started saying good morning at 1am, then 3am and 5am. The breakfast was basically ordered from a to go place and was below average in our opinion. From the description we thought it was home made with fresh juice, etc....very far from that. Overall, this may be good for some people but we would not stay here again. Also, never met the host which is odd at a B&B.
Matt, 2-night trip

Theresa is a very pleasant person and it is wonderful to be able to spend the night on her property.

Unique property. Very nice accommodations. Close easy access to Volcanos national Park. Would return if the opportunity arose.

Weekend getaway

Breakfast to our room daily was a big treat! The room was large and had more amenities than any other place we have stayed at. Theresa is a great host!
Colin, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great place to stay. It was fun to see the animals on the property. The breakfast was delicious and had several options. We stayed in the cabin and it was very well equipped, even had a great toilet and shower. The cabin itselt was complete with a comfortable bed and warm covers and a large quantity of flashlights. During cloud-free nights, the sky is illuminated with stars.
Myriam, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It was so beautiful, clean, and unique. The animals at the ranch were so wonderful to have around. We just loved it. And Theresa was such a great soul!

We would definitely stay here again

If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP.
Victoria, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We spent one night at the ranch. We are very impressed by the fresh breakfast, especially the unique duck egg omelette. The ranch is cozy and quiet. The goats are smart and cute. It provides us a perfect place to rest visiting the volcano.

10/10 Excellent

Amazing alternative to a generic hotel! So charming and idyllic. We were nervous when we were told we were staying in "the barn", but trust me, it's the best! It's a fully finished in-law unit with a cozy sunroom overlooking the pond and a menagerie of adorable farm animals right outside our windows in a lush, tropical paradise!
Dan, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It was very clean, nicely decorated room. Breakfast was yummy. The goats were adorable. Just be aware that the animals will be immediately outside your door if you stay next to the barn. We liked that, though. Fun place to stay with a kid.
Emily, 2-night trip

Excellent Place, but not for everyone

This place was great, but not for everyone. You need to be comfortable with being on a farm, with farm animals running wild. If you are this homey, rustic, comfortable stay is for you. We loved it for our two night stay. Great breakfast, gas fireplace/heater and private porch area overlooking a lake with chickens and ducks. Would stay here again. It was a unique experience. I'm glad we found this place.
Anthony, 2-night trip
