The only thing that stopped me giving a 5 for this stay was that the vroilet was leaking. It was so close and convenient to where i needed ro be, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the only negative thing is that perhaps they don't have enough on as if they were in the front bar they did not always see you waiting in the back bar. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were comfortable and well serviced. The water in the bathroom was... nuanced. We went downstairs to the Bistro for dinner both nights of our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the price and quality of the food. The staff were incredibly accommodating when we asked if we could take our unfinished drink (child's soft drink) and meal upstairs to complete it and the complimentary colouring in was a nice distraction.

Good location for NEC

One night stay whilst attending concert locally. Fantastic location for NEC; 5 minute walk. Staff helpful on arrival, friendly and attentive. Room small, but absolutely fine for a one night stay. Unfortunately, no hot water upon waking and unable to rectify as I left early and had a train to catch. Some cockroaches seen at check-in to room and at other points during the stay. Bistro downstairs for ease. Stayed on a Sunday, no noise from pub.

Great location for our event however sound travels from room to room easily, linen wasn’t laundered well bodily fluids on the doona and covered with sheet fairly gross actually for the price to stay a night.

Our bedroom was clean but the shared bathroom was putrid. We ended up using the toilet in the pub because it was cleaner. The stairwell up to our room stunk of mould. There were bags of dirty linen and other random things just left on the stairs we had to step over or walk around.

The room itself was clean but the shared bathroom/shower was dirty and stinky throughout my stay. It seems there is only one unisex toilet/shower for the entire floor to share which didn't meet the standard that I expected.

I checked out almost immediately after going to my room. I think it was dodgy. It was just above a casino and bar. The room smelled like nail polish, and you couldn't open the door to the closet. The toilet stank and when I saw and insect crawling on my bed I checked out immediately. The woman was very sorry for the insect and I got a full refund.

Worst accomodation I’ve ever stayed in, it was a horrible experience. There was quite a bit of blood on my bedsheets, which I immediately brought to their attention. The staff member I spoke to was apologetic, however I overheard the other staff having a laugh about my experience behind the bar. When I returned to the room after they’d “fixed” the bed, they had simply taken off the dirty sheet and put all the others back on. They were unable to give me either a new room or a refund, I had no option but to go to Kmart and buy my own bedding to feel somewhat clean for the night. The rest of the room wasn’t any better, clearly hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. Would not recommend this place, terrible service and hygiene.
