East Glacier Lodge was very historic and comfortable. Lobby was huge with many areas to gather and relax. Staff was amazing and waiting to help in any way. Food was very good and huckleberry margaritas were the best. Close to National park access.

10/10 Excellent

The lobby and surroundings were beautiful. Loved the history and retro feel. Rooms were fine, but must remember the hotel is over 100 years old. I would come again.
Ruth, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Take a step back in time to an old time resort vacation. Activities for the children on the lawn. The beautiful garden. On site dining and gift shop. Seating areas to relax. The building itself is amazing and the staff was very helpful. I really enjoyed this hotel.
Laurie, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Be aware that it is a very old, historical property so no elevators. They do, however, have bellboys to carry your 50lb suitcases up to the third floor. Extremely beautiful inside and out.
Property pups love welcome pats
Julie, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

The room was on the 3rd floor. Very hot. Unbearable. They provided a fan, but only one electrical outlet in the room. We had to request an extension cord. The bathroom was so small. Overall the room was very small for 2 adults and 2 children.
Jane, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

While the lobby and timber construction are breathtaking, as are the views around the lodge, the rooms are uninviting, sparse, and WAY out of date….like by 100 years. They are small, floors are wooden with no rugs, the electric outlets do not accept an 3-prong plug, and the bathrooms pitifully small. Cruise ship showers are luxuriously large in comparison, and the tiny sink with no cabinet forces you yo use the toilet tank and seat for bathroom supplies. Thankfully, it is at least equipped with WIFI (unlike the Yellowstone Lodge) because within and around these mountainous national parks there is NO cell service whatsoever, so sending pics to family and friends is out of the question in most places. If alternate lodging options can be found without imposing to much of a distance penalty I would recommend it unless a) you simply must check off the ‘lodge box’ on your wish list or b) if you desperately want a tase of life in the early 20th century.
