Great location! The Uber boat was a short walk away. That provided multiple stops up the Thames all the way to the Tower Bridge. The taxi stand adjacent to the hotel provides easy access to transportation to Heathrow and sites around Kensington. The underground had a stop a short walk away too. Overall a very pleasant experience at the Doubletree!

The hotel was in a great location in Chelsea. We ate dinner at a local restaurant, caught the water taxi, which was a very short walk away, and got something snacks at the small market across the street. The downside was we couldn’t figure out the a/c, and we couldn’t leave the windows cracked open because of the street noise. There weren’t many place to put things - a small wardrobe, no hooks in the bathroom. The lighting was very dim, even in the bathroom mirror light they did provide a magnifying lighted mirror which made putting on makeup a little easier. Their breakfast was a little expensive, but we did have dinner in their restaurant one night and were pleased. All in all everything was satisfactory.
