Staff really made the whole difference for this experience. Everyone was so kind and helpful and went out of their way to make my time in Cayo the best possible. When an injury made my original plans impossible, they were ready with suggestions tor excursions and tours. I can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Mystic River! It's a beautiful resort! The staff are all so amazing! They are so kind and helpful! The food was delicious and the room was comfortable and so nice. The relaxing sounds of the jungle were interrupted by the whining cries of the children next door. Due to the open air concept we could hear every whimper and wail. Other than those jolts back to reality our visit was heavenly and relaxing. We loved seeing the fruit trees and garden and enjoyed a float down the river in the provided kayaks. How delightful to wake up to coffee outside our room everyday.

A jungle oasis

If I could give 6 stars I would. From the moment we arrived and even before our arrival the staff was proactive and attentive. It was my husbands birthday and they decorated the room and had a table in the restaurant decorated for us with a cake. My mother in law stayed with us and they converted the living room sofa to a bed. The food was great with cheese made on property abd vegetables from their own garden. You truly feel like you are staying in a jungle oasis. We will definitely be back.

Mystic River is truly a gem. They treat each guest as family, and because of the small size, you can really get to know the staff. The guides for the excursions were fabulous - knowledgeable, safe, and friendly. The only thing to be aware of is the lack of A/C in the cabanas. Even with fans, it can be quite hot at night. But, we found it entirely worth it! It was a wonderful jungle adventure that my kids will remember forever.

I will definitely stay here again! We stayed as a family of 4 with younger kids (5 and 7). All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. They were very helpful in booking adventures and making the experience kid friendly and memorable. I loved waking up to jungle noises, seeing beautiful birds and iguanas and being immersed in the jungle while also having the comforts of on site electricity and drinkable water. The food at the resort restaurant was also excellent.
