It was definitely different than we anticipated, and the photos online are of what it maybe used to look like. Our room smelled quite musky, had quite a lot of flies, and some of the kitchenette appliances had mold in them. The bed was very soft, even for my soft bed loving partner, and it felt unsupportive.
It is important to note that the bathroom is down some stairs, which someone with mobility issues may not be able to access easily.
The free breakfast was a pretty uncomfortable experience and one that we would not recommend. When we went in the main house for breakfast, we were greeted by a very quiet, seemingly unhappy individual, and we felt very awkward and as though we were an inconvenience. Coffee mugs and plates had somd crusted food on them, but we were too uncomfortable to say anything.
Meeting the dogs after breakfast was nice though!
Overall, definitely not a 'bed and breakfast' vibe- maybe it used to be.
The highlight was that it was a pet friendly place.
