DON’T try to organize a group at this resort.

I spent months trying to work w this property to host 13 of my family for my Dads very special 85th bday. We had family from all over the country coming in ranging from 6-85. They had so little reasonable options (think $5000 food minimum) at their restaurants that we arranged all the celebrations at other resorts. We did splurge (majorly) for a suite so that our group (mostly in their 80s) cld have a place to gather close to each other. The hotel royally messed this up and didn’t have the suite ready for us early or even at check in time. W zero communication it became a very unfortunate and stressful afternoon as we were having a small reception in the suite and didn’t have a room til about 30 min before our guests were arriving. My months of work and checking in even up to the day before arrival was a waste of time. We didn’t have time to decorate the room or set up the catered food bc they hadn’t brought the ordered plates/glasses silverware that we ordered. I will also say that this resort is almost overtly un child friendly. No kids menus at the restaurants, no areas where we could have gathered for a reception w them. My last issue is the lack of coffee in the rooms and then out in the resort they have 1 coffee at all locations (bakeries, restaurants) and it’s a medium roast which was terrible. I wish they had some options for different coffees for different tastes as well as coffee makers in the room. At a hotel of this level I wld expect espresso …
