1. The lady in the reception lobby in the diner, she gave us two double beds when our reservation is for a two queen beds. She found the name in the reservation, printed the form for me to sign, I saw it was for two double bed, we are 5 in the family, can’t fit in two double bed. She said they don’t have what the online reservation gives. Why she didn’t mention the beds before printing out? Glad I read it before I signed. I said we won’t check in if it’s not two queen beds. Then that’s the time she arranged for us to have a two queen bed room. What kind of service is that? Is she trying to trick us? It was reserved November 2023, if they don’t have two queen bed room, then why wait until the check in time Aug 5, 2024 before letting us know so we can make changes early? She almost check us in, giving us a two double bed room that we didn’t reserved for and not letting us know. 2. They ask for $25 deposit upon checking in. It’s been 5days since we left and the deposit is not returned. We took a photo before we left. Everything is there, no stains whatsoever and we are not smokers, we didn’t even use their hotel’s shampoo and soap. They didn’t return our deposit. 3. Very weak wifi. 4. This hotel is a Wyndham hotel but unlike other Wyndham hotel, they don’t offer free breakfast. I’m not coming back in this hotel for the next Gillette pathfinder camporee.

The TV didn't work and they didn't tell us about it at check in. It's not in Douglas it's in Bill. The people weren't very pleasant to be around. Food was ok

This property had no electric or plumbing upon arrival and they refused to cancel the reservation and still charged for the rooms and wouldn’t allow for any refund or reduced billing. Told Expedia they would refund the money. Then refused after the call

Front desk clerk issues
I made the reservation around 11 p.m. for that night. My family was traveling 20 hours home from vacation and couldn't drive further without stopping to sleep. We arrived around 1 a.m. I went to check in, and the male night clerk seemed bothered by my presence in general. I gave my name for the reservation, which they had already taken the money for when I booked. He tells me that he cannot find my reservation and that because I checked in after midnight, my reservation was canceled and that there was nothing he could do about it. That didn't make sense to me because the reservation was for the 22nd checking out on the 23rd, and check out was at 11 a.m. so, how would I not be able to check in and use the room until check out? I explained to him that we were traveling, we've been driving for hours, we were exhausted, had our child in the car and needed our room that we had paid for. I explained to him I didn't have another $100 to spend on another room. He had no compassion, no empathy, and he seemed generally bothered I was even there. He asked me for the reservation number, which I provided. He said he still couldn't find my reservation. I started crying because I was so exhausted from having been in the car for so long and I was so worried that I would just be out the money. He finally called his manager who did fix it all, and we checked in once the manager got involved. The room was fine, but would never stay again due to the clerk.

This place is a great place if you need to rest for the night. While the property itself is a bit dated, it is still perfectly functional and adequate. Being out in the middle of nowhere, it's safe and extremely quiet. The 24hr attached diner is also very convenient. Most hotels stop breakfast at around 9am, and being the night owl that I am, I often times never wake up in time. I liked how I'm able to go get a nice hot meal any time of day. The price per room is also a good value as well. Overall a solid hotel. Would stay here again.

The staff here are always great, friendly, and so happy to help with whatever is needed. The rooms are always clean and I love that they have cribs for our baby. Unfortunately there is really nothing around the area - but that’s not the hotels fault. The only thing I do wish - and honestly I’m not sure that it’s even possible, but I do wish they had some rooms with king size beds. Otherwise though- this is a really nice little hotel when you need to stay in the middle of nowhere and the diner is so cute and has delicious food.

Strange out-of-the-way place with little service.
To consider this property as being in Douglas is a mistake; it is 40 miles north of town on a minor road. That fact was not evident from the listing in Hotels.com, possibly because in Wyoming zip codes cover vast territories. I recommend the listing be clarified. The hotel is managed from the adjacent diner (which is an excellent 24-hour resource), and there is no security in the lobby. Though we seemed to be the only guests, we were not able to have a ground floor room, since most of the property is contracted to the Union Pacific Railroad, whether being used or not. The bed had been made up but not the bathroom; we found a housekeeper's cart parked outside a hallway with all the doors open and helped ourselves to towels, soap, shampoo and toilet paper. There was no elevator, no ice machine. No other activity is nearby except the Union Pacific railyard. This was not the convenient overnight stop on our cross-country roadtrip that we anticipated.
