The room was beautifully furnished, more spacious than expected, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The location was also a big selling point, within a short walk of several museums, restaurants, shopping, and the Tube. Overall, though, I left feeling slightly disappointed with my experience there. While mostly very clean, the suite was a little rough around the edges, with obvious stains on the cream colored furniture, visible water damage from the unit above, streaks of heaven only knows what running down the dark paint throughout, and absolutely ZERO sound insulation. City noise coming through the windows I can handle without issue, but whoever was staying on the floor above us was either hosting gatherings all day, every day, or they had a whole herd of children with ADHD. The sound of footsteps echoed through our suite at all hours of the day, and more than once I was jolted awake by what sounded like an elephant crashing to the ground above us. Housekeeping would also come knocking on the door as soon as 0900 hit, asking when we planned to leave, so if we didn't hang the DND sign, we'd feel rushed to get up and get going if we weren't already. Not ideal when you just want to have a lazy morning or two on your much anticipated and very expensive vacation. Definitely a beautiful area and lovely building, but not the experience I expected for what I ended up paying.
