Wonderful HOTEL

Perfect location in downtown Charleston, right across the street from the markets! Restaurants galore, shopping, carriage rides and easy walking down to Rainbow Row and all the historic homes. Just a perfect stay, the hotel was very nice but had that historic feel with the grand staircase and the rooms were equipped with a kitchen, separate living and bedroom upstairs plus 1 1/2 baths. Would stay here anytime I was visiting Charleston! Will definitely be back someday! Very affordable in comparison to other downtown hotels but had a great vibe and a beautiful courtyard to enjoy morning coffee or anytime during the day to just relax and enjoy the weather.

Had a great stay at Church street inn. Room was great, love that it’s 2 floors. May not be so great for those with mobility issues, but I highly recommend this place. Location was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, basically a travel hotel

The hotel is in a great location. Rooms are very large and work very well when traveling with older children. The condition of the hotel was fair. Carpets in the hallway were stained with a few rips. I have stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. I was a little surprised how un-attentive the front desk staff was. It was almost like we were disturbing them when we said good morning.

Queen of Queen Street

Enjoyed our stay. Loved the unique nature of the rooms and the big windows. The kitchenette was helpful especially for a quick breakfast. The people at the desk were especially helpful and friendly. Great location to everything in the historic district. I would stay here again.

Highly recommend Church Street Inn for location, cleanliness, comfort and value. The rooms are unique, as they are really small apartments. Staff are engaged and care about creating a positive customer experience.

Excellent location

The location and the price make this a very attractive hotel. It’s small and only two levels. Our room had the living space, which including a full kitchen, downstairs and the bedroom up, This hotel would be primo but the general maintenance/repair aesthetics are beyond poor. There were half patched holes in the wall without touchup paint covering the spackling, making the room look run down. On the upside, the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing to see the perks of location, safety, and price and overlook generally minor cosmetic shortcomings. Also, the parking is one block away in a large parking garage. Temporary parking is available in front of the building for loading/unloading, but long-term parking is in the garage. Guests are given a garage pass that allows for unlimited parking access

Great location!

Excellent front desk staff and location! I liked the layout with the king bed upstairs and queen pull out downstairs. Some lighting was stark and needed warm tone bulbs! No reading/sitting chair in the upstairs suite… that was an issue - no where to sit and no floor lamp.

Accommodating staff. BUT. -The coffee maker in room was terrible. -No handrail in shower. -There were no accessible rooms as we requested. -The wine glasses had lipstick stains in them and were obviously not cleaned. -Extremely difficult to read room numbers on doors because they were so worn away. -The TV did not function which is fine because the remote was absolutely filthy and disgusting. -the rug in the lobby is old and lifted which was a dangerous tripping hazard

What a great hotel! We've been on the road with our 8 month old son for a couple weeks. At other hotels, even if we splurged for a suite to get a little extra room for his pack n play, we had to turn the lights off once he went down to sleep. But the Church Street Inn truly felt like a home away from home. We were able to put our son down to sleep on the top floor and stay up watching TV and eating powdered donuts on the floor below. We were also able to sterilize his bottles in the kitchenette in the morning before departing. And the hotel is so centrally located to enjoy the best Charleston has to offer. Right beside the market. Restaurants all around. King Street shopping just two blocks away. We'll be talking about our stay at Church Street Inn for years.
