What a wonderful and charming place!! Staff was impeccable with service to customers. Clean and comfortable and close to the aquarium and cannery row. The view was spectacular, the Pacific Ocean looked wonderful from our room. The gardens were enchanting and the breakfast outstanding.

The property was beautiful, it has an antique/ vintage vibe. They provide breakfast and the view from the dining room was beautiful. It faces the ocean and we could see harbor seals and sea otters while we ate. I definitely plan to go back.

Only thing I’m curious about is why it was $600 a night but a few days before our stay the same room was half the price and still is even up until their latest booking months in advance.

So it was awesome to have a working fireplace on a cold summer (!) night but the open flue transmitted the sound of Screeching seagulls on the roof from Sunrise on. Not a big deal- pretty funny in fact but I’m am early riser.. Was great watching an otter in the bay from My breakfast table!

Nice getaway in a throw back room

Charming hotel. Rooms were a bit odd with very low furniture that was not especially comfortable or easy to sit in. Very noisy bed when either of us moved at all. But the views are amazing. The location is super convenient to the waterfront, aquarium and Cannery Row plus a lot of very good dining options. The Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very friendly and service oriented.

Short vacation to the Monterey Bay area

This is a wonderful property. I choose it for the proximity to the beach and walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Check in was simple and we were delighted with the room and the dining room as well as the lovely sitting room across from our room (Art Deco). Breakfast was delicious and the dining room overlooked the Bay. Every breakfast was different and delicious, and the coffee was good and strong. The staff was friendly also.

Martine inn is a gorgeous property near the ocean in Pacific Grove. You can easily walk the beach trail to Lovers Point or Monterey Bay. The breakfast is a lovely experience with the dining room facing the ocean, the staff provides binoculars for spotting otters in the ocean. The room we stayed in was decorated with beautiful wallpaper and had vintage furniture and fixtures throughout. It's pretty magical, we will be coming back.

Staff is super friendly. An easy walk to Lover's Point and restaurants. We walked to Downtown Pacific Grove to eat at Hops and Fog. About several blocks, at night, and we both felt safe. Lovely ocean view from some common rooms. Nice breakfast from one of those rooms. Easy walk from hotel along Oceanside trail to Lover’s Point. Old building, full of antiques.
